Site24x7 vs OpManager pricing for network monitoring at 50 to 1,000 devices

Short answer: both come from the same parent company, and on list price the on-premises one is cheaper. 100 network devices cost $795 a year on OpManager Standard or $1,145 on Professional, against $1,776 a year on Site24x7 Professional. You pay Site24x7 the difference for not running a server, and it also bundles website, server and log monitoring into the same plan.

If most of what you need is an alert when a website, VPN gateway or branch office stops answering, AlertPing Team checks 100 of them from outside every 30 seconds for $348 a year, with SMS and a status page.

site24x7 vs manageengine

One vendor sells you a server and the other sells you a subscription

Site24x7 and ManageEngine are both Zoho businesses, so this is less a rivalry than a choice of delivery model. OpManager is software you install on your own Windows or Linux server. You buy device packs of 10 to 1,000 on a yearly subscription or a perpetual license, each pack includes two user logins, and the server, its backups and its patching are yours.

Site24x7 is a hosted service. Its Professional plan is $49 a month ($42 billed annually) and includes 10 network components, 5 servers, 20 websites and 4 GB of logs. Internal switches and routers still have to be polled from inside, so you install Site24x7's On-Premise Poller on a machine in your network. It is lighter than a full OpManager install, but it is still a box you keep alive.

Site24x7 vs OpManager price at every size

Yearly list prices in US dollars, read from Site24x7's pricing page and ManageEngine's store in October 2026. One Site24x7 network component covers one SNMP device with up to 100 interfaces, so it lines up with one OpManager device for most switches and routers.

1,000$985 ($49 + 2 x $468)$11,820$4,095$5,995$12,0001.97x

Site24x7 uses the Professional plan with 10 network components included, plus add-on components at $11 per 10 or $468 per 500, whichever is cheaper. Billing the base annually drops it from $49 to $42 a month and saves $84 a year. OpManager figures are annual subscriptions; Standard and Professional stop at 1,000 devices on one server, and OpManager Plus is now sold as OpManager Nexus. Under 50 devices, Site24x7's free plan watches up to 50 resources with email alerts only, and OpManager's Free Edition covers 3 devices.

where the gap closes

When Site24x7 costs about the same as OpManager

Both vendors charge extra for flow analysis and configuration backup, just in different units. Site24x7 counts every NetFlow interface and every configuration-tracked device as one more network component. OpManager sells NetFlow and Network Configuration Manager as add-ons with their own tiers, and sells extra user logins beyond the two in each pack.

Load 100 devices with NetFlow on 100 interfaces and configuration backup on all 100, and Site24x7 needs 300 components, which is $4,416 a year. OpManager Professional with the same add-ons is $3,517. Add OpManager's unlimited user pack for a 10-person team and it becomes $4,475, now $59 above Site24x7. At 100 devices the cheaper vendor depends on how many people log in. At 250 it does not: OpManager has a 250-interface NetFlow pack, so even with unlimited users it stays $1,317 a year under Site24x7.

monitoring only, 100 devices

OpManager Professional $1,145 against Site24x7 $1,776. $631 a year buys you out of running the monitoring server, though not out of running the poller.

The AlertPing column is there because many teams on this page only need part of what either tool does. It is not a network monitor, and the table says so.

verdict by situation

Which one to buy for your network

1

Pick OpManager

You already run Windows or Linux servers on site, a small team logs in, and you want the lowest list price per device. 100 devices on Professional cost $1,145 a year, and the perpetual license is there if you would rather pay once.

2

Pick Site24x7

You do not want to own the monitoring server, you also need website, server and log monitoring in one bill, or many people need to log in. The gap is 1.4x to 2.0x on bare devices and close to zero at 100 devices once add-ons and an unlimited user pack are counted.

3

Add AlertPing to either

Customers reach websites, APIs, VPN gateways or mail servers from the internet. An inside poller cannot report its own outage, and both tools rely on one for the network side.

4

Use AlertPing alone

Your list is mostly URLs, public IPs and ports, not switches. 100 of them cost $348 a year on Team, with SMS, escalation and a status page and nothing to install.

the blind spot both share

A poller inside the network cannot report its own outage

OpManager polls from your server and Site24x7 polls internal devices through its On-Premise Poller. When the office internet link, the firewall or that machine goes down, the network side of either tool goes quiet at the same moment your customers start noticing.

AlertPing checks your public endpoints from US East and EU Central and confirms each failure from the second region before it pages anyone. Point it at the website, the VPN gateway, the mail server and each branch office IP, and keep whichever network monitor you choose for the switches inside. The ping monitoring and port monitoring pages show the exact checks.

questions buyers ask

Site24x7 vs OpManager questions

Is Site24x7 better than OpManager?

Neither wins across the board. OpManager is cheaper per device and keeps all data on your own server, which suits teams that already run on-site infrastructure. Site24x7 removes the monitoring server, adds website, server and log monitoring to the same plan, and costs 1.4 to 2.0 times as much as OpManager Professional for bare network devices.

Is Site24x7 cheaper than OpManager?

No on list price for network devices alone. 100 devices cost $1,776 a year on Site24x7 Professional against $795 on OpManager Standard and $1,145 on Professional. Once NetFlow, configuration backup and an unlimited user pack are added, OpManager Professional reaches $4,475 against $4,416 on Site24x7, so the loaded bills end up within about 1%. At 250 devices OpManager stays cheaper even with every add-on.

Are Site24x7 and OpManager the same company?

Yes. Both are Zoho businesses. ManageEngine sells OpManager as software you install, and Site24x7 is the hosted monitoring service. They share device templates and ideas but are licensed and billed separately, so a quote for one does not cover the other.

What is the difference between OpManager and OpManager Plus?

OpManager covers network, server and virtualization monitoring. OpManager Plus, now sold as OpManager Nexus, bundles OpManager with flow analysis, configuration management, firewall log analysis and application monitoring. Nexus costs $2,267 a year for 100 devices against $1,145 for OpManager Professional, and at 1,000 devices it lands at $12,000, close to Site24x7's $11,820.

How much does Site24x7 network monitoring cost?

Site24x7 Professional is $49 a month, or $42 billed annually, and includes 10 network components. More components cost $11 per 10 or $468 per 500 a month. That puts 50 devices at $93 a month, 100 at $148, 250 at $313, 500 at $517 and 1,000 at $985.

Is there a Site24x7 or OpManager alternative for uptime checks only?

Yes. If you mainly need to know when websites, APIs, VPN gateways, mail servers and branch IPs stop answering, AlertPing Team checks 100 endpoints every 30 seconds from two outside regions for $348 a year, with SMS, escalation and a status page included. It does not do SNMP, maps or flow analysis.

how we page you

Two regions have to agree

A single failed probe never wakes anybody. A second region, US East or EU Central, re-checks first, so a hiccup on one route is not a 3am phone call.

what a plan covers

SMS is in the price, not in credits

Email, Slack and webhook alerts are unlimited on every plan, SMS comes with a monthly allowance, and each plan hosts status pages. No credit packs, no per-message fee, no per-monitor math.

how setup works

One URL, no agent to install

Paste the address, choose where alerts go, and the first check runs from both regions. No agent, no config file, nothing to deploy on your side.

Outside checks for whichever monitor you pick

Websites, APIs, public IPs, ports and SSL certificates, confirmed from a second region. Team watches 100 monitors every 30 seconds for $59 a month, or $348 a year.
