A hosted status page costs between $0 and about $400 a month for most teams. Atlassian Statuspage runs free, then $29, $99, $399 and $1,499 a month; Instatus is $20 a month for a custom domain; Better Stack and Hyperping bundle the page with monitoring from roughly $25 to $29 a month; and PagerDuty sells status pages as an add-on on top of per-responder seats. The number that matters is not the sticker price, though. It is whether the tool also runs the checks that update the page, because several of the best-known options do not. Status page pricing is unusually hard to compare because vendors meter completely different things. One charges by how many people subscribe to updates. Another charges per page. A third bundles the page into a monitoring plan and charges you nothing extra. Below is what each one actually costs at US list prices, with the billing basis stated, and the costs that tend to show up after you have signed.

All prices are US dollars per month at list. Where a vendor publishes a lower annual rate, both figures appear, because mixing a monthly price with an annual one is the easiest way to build a comparison that is quietly wrong.

Status page pricing at Atlassian
Atlassian Statuspage is the category standard and the most expensive way to solve this at scale. Public pages are free, then $29 Hobby, $99 Startup, $399 Business and $1,499 Enterprise per month. Atlassian does not publish annual rates for these plans, so treat every figure as a monthly one. Two structural details cost people money. First, the tiers are subscriber ceilings: 100 on free, 250 on Hobby, 1,000 on Startup, 5,000 on Business. Your bill grows as your customer list grows, even though the product you receive is identical. Second, private pages and audience-specific pages are separate subscriptions. Private pages start at $79 a month for 50 authenticated users, and audience-specific pages start at $300. A company that wants a public page and an internal one is on two bills.
The detail that catches most teams: SMS notifications to your subscribers do not exist below the $99 Startup plan. If your incident plan assumes customers get a text, the entry price is $99, not $29.
Statuspage.io pricing and Jira status page pricing
These are the same product under different names, which is worth saying plainly because the search results treat them as three things. Statuspage.io was acquired by Atlassian in 2016 and is sold today as Atlassian Statuspage. There is no separate Jira status page product either; people searching that phrase are usually looking for Statuspage, which integrates natively with Jira Service Management and Opsgenie. The prices in the section above are the prices for all three searches.
Better Stack status page pricing
Better Stack, formerly Better Uptime, includes status pages in its monitoring product rather than selling them as a category of their own. There is a free tier with 10 monitors, and the paid responder license lands around $29 a month billed annually.
The catch is not the entry price, it is the shape of the bill. Better Stack prices monitors, responder seats and heartbeat blocks as separate modules, so two companies paying "for Better Stack" can be paying very different amounts. Third-party pricing breakdowns put an additional public status page at roughly $15 a month and full white-labeling considerably higher. Model your actual mix before you compare it to a flat plan.
PagerDuty status page pricing
PagerDuty is an incident management platform first, and its status page is an add-on rather than an included feature. Seats run $21 per responder per month on Professional billed annually, or $25 paid monthly. The old Business plan is no longer listed; above Professional sits the PD Reliability Platform, which starts at $2,800 a year for 10 seats.
PagerDuty's plan comparison lists an external status page with 250 subscribers on Professional, and Status Pages is also sold as a separately purchased add-on whose price PagerDuty does not publish. Private status pages are not part of Professional; they come with the Reliability Platform tiers. For a five-person on-call team that is a quote to request on top of $1,260 a year in seats before anyone has subscribed to anything. PagerDuty earns it if you need mature escalation, scheduling and incident workflow, but nobody should buy PagerDuty for the status page.
Datadog status page pricing
Datadog does not price a status page as a standalone line item, and any specific figure you find for it is likely to be someone's estimate rather than a published rate. The realistic way to think about it: if you are already a Datadog customer, the status page is part of a platform bill driven by hosts, synthetic test runs and log volume. If you are not, this is not a sensible entry point, because you would be buying an observability platform to publish an uptime page.
The costs that show up later
Sticker price is the easy part. Four things reliably move the real total.
The monitoring you still have to buy. Atlassian Statuspage performs no direct monitoring of websites or servers. It publishes what a human or an integrated tool tells it. So a working Statuspage setup is Statuspage plus something that actually checks your endpoints, which in practice means a second subscription and an integration to maintain. Pairing Statuspage Startup with a mid-tier checker lands most teams near $149 a month. Tools that run the checks and host the page collapse that into one line, which is the argument behind picking a Statuspage alternative with monitoring built in.
Subscriber growth. On subscriber-metered plans, success is what pushes you up a tier. Ten thousand customers subscribing to updates is good news that arrives as an invoice.
Custom domains and white-labeling. Putting the page on status.yourcompany.com is a paid feature almost everywhere, and it is often several tiers up. On AlertPing it needs the $189 Business plan, which is worth knowing before you compare our entry price to Instatus at $20.
Seats. Per-responder pricing means the bill scales with the team, not the infrastructure. A flat plan is usually cheaper past about five people; per-seat is usually cheaper below three. If you are auditing what the whole toolchain costs across a year, it helps to pull every subscription into a single read-only view of your SaaS spend rather than discovering the total one renewal at a time.
What you should actually budget
For a small team that needs a public page and basic checks, $20 to $30 a month is realistic, and the free tiers from Statuspage and Instatus are genuinely usable if you can live without a custom domain or SMS.
For a funded SaaS with an uptime commitment, budget $60 to $200 a month for monitoring and the page together, and expect the custom domain to be the thing that sets the tier. For an enterprise with private pages, per-customer views and SSO, Statuspage at $399 and up plus a monitoring vendor is the honest number, and there is not a cheap version of that requirement.
The question worth asking before any of this: do you want one vendor or two? If your monitoring already publishes the page, status page pricing stops being a separate line on the budget.
